Rs.8000 pm,Rs.9000 pm.Contingency Grant-For the initial 2 years-Humanities: Rs.10000 pa,Sciences: Rs.12000 pa. For the subsequent years Humanities: Rs.20500 pa,Sciences: Rs.25000 pa.House Rent Allowance. Suitable single-seated hostel accommodation or HRA as per rules of the University/Institution or HRA as per categorisation of the cities by the Government of India.Overhead Charges:Rs.3000 pa per student payable to the Host Institution

Eligibility :

Age-Male :35 years as on 1st July of the year of application. Women:40 years.Academic- A first-class Masters degree with a second-class Bachelors degree, or second-class Masters degree with a first-class Bachelors degree.Other:The candidate should be a student or teacher in one of the developing countries of Asia/Africa or Latin America

General Information :

Number of Fellowships:20. Duration:2 years + 2 years or till the submission of PhD thesis, which ever is earlier.Disbursement-Administered by the Host Institution where the Fellow is registered for MPhil/ PhD ;Monitoring of Progress ;Progress is monitored by the concerned supervisor and Head of Department. A six-monthly progress report duly signed by the supervisor, head of department and registrar is to be submitted by the end of the month of June and December
