HAPPY TEACHERS DAY
September 5th is an important day for all of us. It is celebrated as a Teachers Day as a mark of respect to the contribution made by teachers to the society. The teacher plays a great role in shaping the life and career of the students in particular. 5th September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and was a staunch believer in education.
He was a well known diplomat, scholar and above all a fine teacher.
Everybody would have had a favorite teacher in their student life. Even today they might remember and tell you why they admired their teacher.
A good teacher need not be a lenient teacher. A teacher with a good knowledge about the subject commands respect and love from the students.
A small token of gift may it be a flower or greeting card or a simple and warm shake hand from the student is what makes the teacher happy and flattered. Teaching is a noble profession indeed!
This is the time we should pay our tribute to our great teacher, philosopher and statesman- Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan whose birth anniversary falls on that day.
