400 Scholarships each year to Young Artists in following culture fields:(1) Indian Classical Music (2) Indian Classical Dance (3) Theatre (4) Visual Arts, and (5) Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts .The selected awardees are required to undergo advanced training on a fulltime basis for two years under a reputed Guru/Institute with in one month of the award of Scholarship

General Information :

The Scholarships are awarded for advanced training - the candidates are required to undergo a minimum of 5 years training with their Gurus/ Institutes. The Certificates to this effects in Part II of the Proforma duly signed by the present Guru/Institute and former Guru/Institute (if any) should be submitted along with the application Note - The Gurus/Institutes are requested to give this certificate only if the applicant has undergone training for a minimum period of five years. The training undergone need not be under the same Guru/Institute.2. Candidates of Visual Arts in all the fields except Sculpture should have minimum qualification of Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent. In Sculpture no minimum qualification is prescribed.3. A short note on Gharana/Sampradaya/Special School (Sakha) in case of Music and Dance may be indicated
